As someone who isn’t very keen on competition, I had a surprisingly great time at Fayre Play!
Fayre Play offers funfair games for adults and each entry includes 2 rounds for each of the 9 games. The venue is located pretty much opposite the Omni Centre in Edinburgh, at Picardy Place. If you do well at the games and get enough points then you collect your stamps which can result in winning one of the cute duckies you can see in the photo! Aren’t they adorable?! Unfortunately I wasn’t good enough for a duck, but next time I’ll lure someone good with me to see if they can win one for me, haha! I went by myself to this event, and had a lot of fun inspire of being alone – however I could imagine it being great with a group of friends.
The standard entry costs £14.50 which I think is a great price for about 60-90 minutes fun, which is the expected play time. There’s also a bar and food available in the venue – all going with the funfair theme. the cocktails I managed to try are on the sweeter side but have a fun twist to them, like being served with a star shaped lollipop or pop rocks. The food includes classics like burgers and hot dogs – I tried the latter which was super tasty! The also had corn dogs on the menu, which I’ve never tried, so will make sure to come back for this! You can also pay £35 for the games + food package which includes two drinks and food (1 main + fries).
I also just want to brag about my shooting skills as this really was the only game I was good at… only missed two targets both rounds.
