For the Spirit of Speyside Festival 2023 I managed to get up for the weekend to experience at least a little of the whisky vibes. Here below you’ll find the activities I did this year and links to read more about them!
If you’d like to read about my past and future Spirit of Speyside adventures – you’ll find them here!
Tomintoul Fireside Sessions
I have now been to the Tomintoul Fireside Sessions two years in a row – and although I’m slightly biased considering my fiancé works for the brand – I’d still honestly say that I think this is one of the best events you’ll find during the festival. You can read more about my experience in 2022 here – and this years (2023) event here. Is there anything better than sitting around a bonfire with interesting people, trying whiskies and roasting marshmallows right next to a river, as the light slowly fades into the evening?
Lunch with Larkfire at The Mash Tun
If you’ve followed this blog you know I’ve already been on a couple of adventures with the Larkfire team – who I also write a monthly blog for which can be found here. This time they were hosting a lovely tasting lunch at the well known The Mash Tun in Aberlour, which is just about to open after some renovations. We tried some really interesting whiskies and I’ll definitely come back for the food as well. You can read more about it all here.
