The Collective Series by Caskshare

What is Caskshare?

If you’ve ever dreamt of having access to single casks or adding something unique on your whisky shelves, but perhaps don’t have the will, money or means to buy a whole cask yourself, then Caskshare might be something for you. The name is pretty much self-explanatory as they offer the opportunity to buy whisky shares/bottles from selected single casks that they mature and take care of for you. Or even to gift someone a Caskshare with a set amount where they get to pick the whisky they want. I know I’d be so happy by a gift like that! They also offer a lot of really interesting whisky from a variety of distilleries like Danish Stauning, Israeli Milk & Honey, Swedish Agitator as well as many scotch distilleries, which get a big thumbs up from me.

Trying the Caskshare whisky

We were welcomed to their headquarters here in Edinburgh with a tasty old-fashioned and I also got to try some of their whisky from Swedish Agitator as well as a 14 year old Daluaine och 21 year old Port Charlotte from Bruichladdich. This is the first time I come across Agitator in the UK, which was particularly fun to see. And there was not just one, but two whiskies from Agitator! The four grain white port cask och the peated Chestnut cask finish we tried during the evening were both great, with the latter being my favourite of the evening. There were also some lovely artwork showcased in the room by the label designer and the one with the sirens was my favourite – how lovely is that?

The team was also so friendly and knowledgable so I’d highly recommend getting in touch or checking them out if this sounds interesting to you.
