Sewing the Silversaga Juliette Dress

The Silversaga Juliette Dress has quickly become one of my favourite garments to sew!

The Juliette Dress from Silversaga Patterns is a garments quite reminiscent of old chemise dresses. It has an elasticated neckline and pleats around the waist to shape the bodice which looks so elegant. I really like that the sleeves are set in rather than part of the neckline, if that makes sense, since it means that you can choose different sleeves for it.

Butterfly Chiffon Silversaga Juliette Dress

My first ever Silversaga Juliette Dress was my birthday dress in 2024. I was so happy with how it turned out and have worn it so much ever since. Since I am a Minerva Brand Ambassador, I get to choose fabrics to review each month and this butterfly chiffon spoke to me immediately. I chose to line the skirt with a soft crepe black fabric, but left the bodice with just the chiffon layer so it is a little transparent but not overly so. As you can see this dress has been used a lot since it was finished. I love it so much.

Dark Olive Glen Coe Dress

I received this fabric to review as part of the Minerva Brand Ambassador program and really fell in love with that dark olive colour. I used the Charm Patterns Turner Cardigan sleeve pattern and lengthened it to make these sleeves and the skirt is also just a lengthened version. I’m so glad I managed to finish it before our trip to Glen Coe – just look a those photos!

ERAS Tour Outfit

Since I loved the Juliette Dress so much already, it was the obvious choice to use for my ERAS tour outfit. I made a shortened version this time with a gathered double circle skirt as I wanted to show off my white cowboy boots. I am obsessed with the lilac + red colour combination so you might see more of this next year as it’s all I ever want to wear, haha.

Bottle Green Gingham Silversaga Juliette Dress

This was my first Juliette Dress which was not made in a chiffon fabric, but instead in a bottle green cotton gingham. I know it looks blue in some of the photos, but it is indeed bottle green. I used a circle skirt instead of the skirt pattern that comes with the pattern itself as it’s currently my favourite skirt shape. For the sleeves I chose to add a shirring detail to the mid sleeve to create a ‘Marie sleeve’ effect. This has recently been my most used dress, as it’s so comfortable and easy to dress up and down.
