Emmy Design – my wardrobe & review

Emmy design

If you are looking for lovely clothes that are designed with inspiration from historical clothing and in particular from 1890s until 1940s then you have to check out Emmy Design!

Emmy Design is a Swedish vintage style brand that makes the most beautiful garments. I’ve been following them for ages and was so delighted when I had the opportunity to collaborate with them for their SS25 collection.

Emmy Design SS25

The Sweetheart Shirt Dress

Colour: Midnight

The Sweetheart Shirt Dress is made in a lovely slightly crinkled fabric which adds a subtle but interesting detail to the texture. I’m always a little worried about semi-fitted dresses not fitting well over my fairly wide hips. Usually if it fits my hips, it’s way too big in the bodice. But somehow Emmy Design seems to have nailed this as I love the fit of this dress. It’s not too snug around my hips and I’m not drowning in fabric up at the top either. Very impressed by this and absolutely love that it has a matching belt.

The Scandi Summer Cardi

Colour: Ivory

This cardigan is so soft and lovely to wear. I usually wear my cardigan three different ways: buttoned up, open or tied over my shoulders. I love how the design is subtle but have little decorative elements. It’s also so easy to wear with various outfits due to it being so versatile. The ivory colour is soft and I think it goes so well with the Sweetheart Shirt Dress in this lovely darker blue and a red accessory like my thrifted red scarf from Sweden.
