The Sändebud Launch

I went along to Joseph Pierce here in Edinburgh for the launch of The Sändebud – a new whisky from Adelphis Fusion series blended with whiskies from Ardnamurchan Distillery here in Scotland and High Coast Distillery in Sweden. The name is inspired by Scottish lawyer-turned-merchant Colin Campbell who moved to Sweden in 1731 where he co-founded the Swedish East India Company.

The result is a maritime whisky with notes of salty wood, roasted nuts and smoked makrill.

The whisky also went down really wonderfully in a Sändebud Mule and paired well with the Swedish ‘tapas’ that were being served – especially with the meatballs.
